The Casa Garzotto, tucked into a narrow cobbled lane in the heart of Rovinj's old medieval centre, offers four studio apartments in what used to be a traditional, nineteenth-century family townhouse. Sympathetically restored by its current owner, the property features oak rafters and polished floorboards, wrought-iron bedsteads, French-style armoires, dressing tables and marble wash basins. The open plan sitting-dining-sleeping rooms are spacious and uncluttered, evoking the simplicity and charm of a country inn. Two of the apartments have open-hearth fireplaces. All except the garret studio on the fourth floor have windows overlooking the Via Garzotto. The Piazza Grande, farmer's market and waterfront are a five-minute walk from the hotel. Accommodation includes a buffet breakfast of fresh bread and rolls, homemade jams and cheese, fruit, juice, coffee and tea.
